Transformer Types:

Distribution Transformers

Distribution transformers are electrical devices designed to step down voltage from power transmission systems to lower levels suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. These transformers distribute electricity from medium-voltage networks to low-voltage levels, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to end users.

Technical Specifications:

  • Power ratings from 63 kVA up to 2,500 kVA.
  • Nominal voltages: Medium Voltage from 13.2 kV to 33 kV; Low Voltage 0.4 – 0.23 kV.
  • Aluminum or copper windings.
  • Compliant with IRAM, IEC, and ANSI standards.
  • Available with expansion tank or hermetically sealed design.

Power Transformers

Power transformers are high-capacity units designed to transfer and transform energy within medium- to high-voltage transmission systems. Their primary function is to adjust voltage levels in transmission networks, enabling efficient power distribution over large areas and supplying industrial users or distribution substations.

Technical Specifications:

  • Power ratings up to 180 MVA.
  • Nominal voltages up to 220 kV.
  • Copper windings.
  • Compliant with IRAM, IEC, and ANSI standards.

Special Transformers

We design special transformers tailored to the specific needs of each industry and client, including high altitudes, extreme temperatures, and confined spaces. This is made possible by in-house design and manufacturing in Argentina, supported by a team of expert engineers ensuring high-quality solutions.

Types of Special Transformers:

  • Oil & Gas:
    Designed to withstand extreme conditions and the demanding requirements of the oil and gas sector, these transformers feature multiple taps and are suitable for operation with variable frequency drives, handling harmonics and DC components.

  • Mining:
    These transformers are built to withstand underground and outdoor environments with harsh conditions, including explosive atmospheres and climatic variations.

  • Submersible (Well-Type):
    Specifically designed for underground installations, these transformers are hermetically sealed, without an expansion tank, and are suitable for underwater operation.

  • Custom Engineering:
    We deliver tailor-made projects, meeting the most demanding requirements of each client.
