Sistema de energía solar para cooperativa eléctrica CETASA Buenos Aires

Solar Energy for
Electric Cooperatives

In the pursuit of generating energy from renewable sources, we offer turnkey solutions tailored to each electric cooperative in the country, based on the development of photovoltaic solar installations. With over 60 years of experience in the Argentine electrical market, we have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by cooperatives.

Our solution helps reduce electricity acquisition costs while decreasing dependence on traditional energy suppliers.

Completed Project: CETASA

This project consists of a photovoltaic system developed for the Electric Cooperative of Azul, located in Buenos Aires Province. It enables cooperative members to reduce energy costs and positions CETASA as the first cooperative in Buenos Aires to adopt renewable energy through a photovoltaic system.

  • Installation of 180 solar panels.
  • Generation capacity of 61.2 kWp.

Solar Energy for Industrial Parks

This project consists of a photovoltaic solar park developed for the Centro Chaqueño Industrial Park, located in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña, Chaco Province.

Pioneers in Renewable Energy: This project positions our client as the first industrial park in the province to enter the renewable energy sector, and one of the first in the country.

  • Installation of 350 solar panels.
  • Generation capacity of 150 kWp.

Hybrid Solar-Thermal Solutions

A hybrid solar-thermal plant generates electrical energy by combining a photovoltaic solar system (PV) with generator sets (gensets).

Completed Project: SECHEEP

A hybrid solar-thermal plant generates electrical energy by combining a photovoltaic solar system (PV) with generator sets (gensets).

The Hybrid System Consists of:

  • A photovoltaic system with an installed capacity of 201.5 kWp.
  • Two generator sets totaling 730 kVA.

Description:

  • Installation of 620 solar panels.
  • Generation capacity of 201 kWp.

Frequently Asked Questions about solar farms.

BENEFITS AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS

What is the return on investment (ROI) of an industrial solar system in Argentina?
The return on investment of an industrial photovoltaic system in Argentina is estimated at an average of 4 years, factoring in direct savings on the electricity bill, the tax benefits under Law 27.191 (which allows deducting 10% of the invested amount from Income Tax for up to 10 years), and incentives for SMEs. From the fifth year onward, the energy generated is practically free for the more than 25 years of the system's useful life.
What is a hybrid solar system with Gensets and what is it used for?
A hybrid solar system combines photovoltaic generation with generator sets (Gensets) through a smart power controller. When solar generation is sufficient, the Gensets remain off. When irradiance drops (at night or on cloudy days) or demand exceeds solar capacity, the Gensets switch on automatically. The result is a drastic reduction in fuel consumption (up to 70%) with full operational continuity.
What does it mean that MIRON is the first self-sustaining transformer factory in Argentina?
In 2024, MIRON completed the installation of a 172.26 kWp photovoltaic solar plant at its own manufacturing facilities, made up of 302 high-efficiency solar panels. This plant generates 100% of the electricity consumed in the industrial processes of transformer manufacturing, making MIRON the first company in the sector in Argentina to achieve electrical energy self-sufficiency through solar power.

QUOTING AND CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

What information does the sales team need to quote a solar farm?
To quote a solar farm we need:
  • Preferably the last 12 energy bills; otherwise, the most recent one.
  • Coordinates or location of the site where the photovoltaic system would be installed.
  • Installation preference: ground-mount or rooftop.
  • The client's main objective: energy savings, power supply issues, or other.
What is the typical timeline from quote to commissioning of a solar farm?
Once the necessary information is received to design the technical and economic proposal, the estimated timeline is 1 to 2 weeks. After the project is confirmed, the construction timeline depends on scale:
  • From 50 kWp to 200 kWp: 2 to 4 weeks of construction time.
  • From 200 kWp to 500 kWp: 4 to 8 weeks of construction time.
  • From 500 kWp to 2,000 kWp: 2 to 5 months of construction time.
  • Above 2,000 kWp: to be defined according to project scale.
Does Solar MIRON work with electric cooperatives?
Yes. Solar MIRON has extensive experience in projects for electric distribution cooperatives, including the development of small solar farms for grid injection, self-consumption systems for the cooperative's own facilities, and projects under the distributed generation scheme (Law 27.424). We offer financing and technical support at every stage of the project.
