At MIRON we have achieved a historic milestone for national industry: we have become the first self-sustaining transformer factory in Argentina. Through our specialized business unit, Solar MIRON, we developed and inaugurated our own photovoltaic solar park to supply clean energy to our production plant.
“After eight years developing projects for leading companies, it was time to make our mark and generate clean energy for our own industry.”
— Marcelo Miron, President of MIRON.
Solar MIRON: Innovation in solar parks in Argentina
This project is not only a technological breakthrough but also a real-world testament to the capability of our Solar MIRON division to execute large-scale renewable energy projects.
The solar park covers most of the plant’s daily energy demand, integrating transformer production with direct solar generation. This industrial self-consumption model demonstrates that it is possible to reduce the carbon footprint while optimizing operating costs in energy-intensive sectors.
Technical Specifications of the Solar MIRON Project
- Photovoltaic Modules: 297 high-efficiency panels (580 W each).
- Total Installed Power: 172.26 kWp.
- Environmental Impact: Savings of 67.89 tons of CO2 annually.
- Economic Sustainability: Estimated return on investment (ROI) of 4 years.
- Purpose: Supplying 100% of the daily consumption of the industrial plant.
“More than 60 years driving the Argentine electrical sector”
MIRON is not just a panel installer; we are a fundamental part of the country’s energy infrastructure. With more than six decades of experience, we provide critical solutions to market leaders such as YPF Luz, Pampa Energía, Transener and Genneia. This same technical solvency is what we apply in our Solar MIRON division to develop world-class renewable energy projects.
Identity and Sustainability: A unique design seen from the air
Our commitment to solar energy also reflects our identity. The solar panels were strategically arranged so that, when viewed from above, they form the word MIRON.
This detail symbolizes our commitment to the country’s energy future: Argentine technology applied to sustainable solutions that transcend.
Media impact: MIRON in Ámbito Financiero and Perfil
The relevance of this milestone has captured the attention of the country’s main economic and energy media, highlighting MIRON’s role in the transition towards a cleaner energy matrix.
